Best Tech Places to Work in New York

Year after year, New York City continually ranks as one of the largest tech ecosystem in the world, currently home to 9,000+ startups valued at $147 billion and one of the deepest talent pools.

With such a large quantity of companies, roles, and professionals, it comes as no surprise that Startup Genome ranked New York City as one of the most diverse cosmopolitan cities. The Big Apple boasts 8.5 million residents, over 400,000 woman-owned businesses, and a large population of tech workers, nearly half of whom are born internationally.

When Tech in Motion released a nationwide call for nominations in our six award categories, we were pleased to see New York’s diverse tech population represented by companies ranging in size from startup to enterprise and across all industries.

While the fierce competition made it difficult to decide, Tech in Motion selected these fourteen companies and three managers to represent New York City’s best in tech as 2020 Timmy Awards finalists.

Sid's perseverance and commitment to his team are best exemplified when facing a challenge. In 2018, He experienced a setback when he was not selected for the H1B lottery for the second time running, resulting in the need to go back to India. However, he used this as an opportunity to build out our team with our partners (Kiwitech) in New Delhi so that Urban FT's technology could continue to grow under his guidance. During the 20 months spent in India, the team increased to almost 20 developers from two developers back in 2018.
